The only crafty thing I've been up to is journaling in my new Bible. Have you heard about Bible Journaling? If you are a scrapbooker or crafter you will love it! I found out about it on Instagram and soon decided it was something I just had to try. There is an awesome website called Illustrated Faith that has lots of tips and examples on it.
My Mom gave me the Crossway ESV Journaling Bible for Christmas. It is a single column Bible with a 2" lined journaling column.
Here is my first entry -
Owls are one of my things, so I looked for a verse about being wise and decided on
Proverbs 10:1 A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.
My second entry was also about wisdom -
This is Proverbs 2:1-5 and is talking about the Value of Wisdom. Verse 4 is "If you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures. I sketched this out in pencil, went over it in pen, then colored it in with water colors.
My third entry is about something I struggle with on a daily basis - Patience.
This is from Ephesians 4:1 and is about Being Patient and Bearing with One Another in Love. What a great reminder for me, to slow down and breathe whenever I become impatient.
I've found it so relaxing to take the time to sketch and create something in my Bible. I can work on it in the evenings when I have a few minutes and It doesn't require a whole lot of expensive supplies.
Anyone else out there coloring in their Bibles? Leave me link to your website, Instagram or Facebook page. I would love to see your work!
Here's to a wonderful week ahead!
I love your artwork! I've heard of this before, but I haven't tried it myself. You've piqued my interest; I may have to get a Journaling Bible:)
